PRIVACY / HOW I HANDLE YOUR DETAILS

Your details, in plain words.

This page explains what happens to the details you send through the contact form, and what does not happen to them.

LAST UPDATED 24 OCTOBER 2026

01 / WHO THIS IS

I am Peter Okere. I run this website, and I decide how the details you send me are used.

02 / WHAT THE CONTACT FORM COLLECTS

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your phone number and organisation, only if you choose to give them.
  • Your message.

03 / WHY

I use your details to read your note, reply to you, and keep a record of the conversation. If we go on to work together, I use them to start the work.

I do not sell your details. If I ever want to use them for anything other than replying to you, I will ask you first.

04 / WHERE THEY GO

  • A private database on a server I control. This is where your note is stored.
  • An email delivery service (Resend), which sends me an alert and sends you an automatic confirmation. It handles your name, email address and message to do that, and its servers may be outside your country.
  • My email inbox, where I reply to you and where the alert and our replies are kept.

05 / WHAT I DO NOT COLLECT

  • Your IP address is not stored. To stop spam, a scrambled version of it is kept for up to three days and then deleted.
  • This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.

06 / HOW LONG I KEEP THEM

  • Messages marked as spam are deleted after 30 days.
  • Enquiries I have closed are deleted from the database 180 days after I close them.
  • An enquiry stays open while we are still talking.

07 / YOUR RIGHTS

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how I use it. Email hello@peterokere.com, or reply to any email from me, and I will respond within a month.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled your details, you can complain to the data protection regulator where you live.

08 / CHANGES

If I change how I handle your details, I will update this page and its date.
